The Spellbound Bead Co has had a shop in the historic City of Lichfield since 1995, and we have been at our current address, 47 Tamworth Street, since 2006.  Lichfield is a beautiful city, packed with independent shops and more pubs and eateries that you would think possible, as well as a stunning cathedral, famous for its three spires, an excellent theatre and much more - all in all the perfect place for a bead shop and a lovely day out!

The shop is crammed to the rafters with anything and everything beady - from floor to ceiling, wall to wall, in every available nook and cranny you will find beads, threads, tools, kits, findings, books and magazines.

To the side of the back room is the wire room, which, as you might expect, has lots of wire in it!  The gorgeous array of wire that we stock includes gold and silver plated wire, a superb range of coloured enamelled wire in several thicknesses as well as knitted wire in both wide and ribbon form.  This room also houses our selection of books and magazines, knotting thread, stretch magic, lots of loose beads, the Spellbound Simples range of kits, Miyuki kits, wooden and letter beads and a display of made samples and kits from Spellbound Beaded Tassels

Moving back toward the front of the shop the middle room houses our magnificent Delica display - just a small portion of which you can see above.  we stock the whole range of the original, size 11, Delicas beads - at the last count almost 1200 colours - and they are displayed by colour to make selecting your beads easy.  If you have a recipe and need specific numbers though come up to the back counter where we keep all the Delicas in numerical order and one of us will be happy to help.

This middle room also houses more loose beads, all of our findings (both individually and in wholesale packs if you need a few), short strings of assorted fancy beads, presentation bags and boxes, bead mats, and, in the front counter a selection of sterling silver beads and findings and diamante stones, both loose and in a selection of settings.  This is also where you will find most of our thread and chain selections.

There are, of course, plenty of things I haven't mentioned on this walk through the shop like the odd short run items that we only have at the shop, the special offers that sometimes appear on the front counter, and of course all the lovely staff that work so hard to keep the shop and mail order running like clockwork and making sure all of our customers are properly looked after.

Please note that due to space constraints we do not hold wholesale quantities of all lines on these premises and although we endeavour to be fully stocked at all times we do run out of things sometimes too!

If you are making a special journey to see us to buy large quantities - eg of half kilos of seed beads, or quantities of loose baubles - please call to order in advance.  We usually have two deliveries a week from the warehouse so would need a few days notice before you visit for collection of any bulk orders.
